Rissani Town
This Town which contains the Rissani market is located in the crossroad between the roar to the Ksour of Tafilalet and the road to the Merzouga dunes. Here the locals come to shop, for administrative purposes and to travel to other parts of Morocco.
Rissani also contains the research center for the archaeological lost town of Sijilmassa which marks are still clearly seen in the site nearby.

In fact, every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday the Filala population comes to buy all their needs from fruits, vegetables, spices, herbs, clothing, crafts, dates, nuts, dry fruits and, much more…
This Souk is also a social meeting where the local communities come to meet each other and hear the news of the whole area and from their relatives.

Visit The Mausoleum Of Moulay Ali Cherif
Located just a few miles away from the Rissani market, it is in this wonderful tomb where buried Moulay Ali Cherif the grandfather of the current royal family. In fact, he was the chief of the Alaouite family in the Tafilalet and his son Moulay Rachid was enthroned the first Alaouite King in 1664.
The mausoleum is a masterpiece of Moroccan architecture and visitors admire the beauty of the craftsmanship excelled by local artisans.
The courtyard has different fruit trees from pomegranates, orange trees, and date palms as well as beautiful roses. All topped with birds singing in this little paradise
