Deli Slicer Position

Jimmy John's is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Deli Slicer to join our team. As a Deli Slicer, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional quality and taste to our customers. Responsibilities:

1. Safely and efficiently operate deli slicing equipment to prepare high-quality deli meats, cheeses, and other ingredients for sandwiches.
2. Ensure precise slicing weight and uniformity to maintain consistent quality standards.
3. Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean and hygienic work environment.
4. Monitor inventory levels of sliced meats and cheeses, and communicate replenishment needs to the management team.
5. Collaborate with other team members to meet customer demands and ensure timely order fulfillment.
6. Assist in maintaining a well-organized and stocked kitchen area.
7. Adhere to company policies and procedures, including portion control and waste reduction.
8. Uphold a positive and professional attitude while providing excellent customer service.

Requirements:

1. Previous experience as a Deli Slicer or in a similar food preparation role is preferred.
2. Strong knife skills and the ability to operate deli slicing equipment with precision.
3. Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper handling techniques.
4. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain consistent quality standards.
5. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
6. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
7. Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
8. Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy containers when necessary.
