ABOUT OUR AGENCY: My State Farm journey began in 2008 when I started in claims, giving me valuable industry experience and a strong foundation before eventually opening an agency of my own. I’ve now been an agent for three years and currently lead a growing team of six. I’m also a proud Illinois State University graduate.
Our culture is friendly, laid-back, and competitive. We set high expectations and want to perform at our best, but we also believe work should be enjoyable. We get together for quarterly office outings, keep a stocked break room, and create plenty of opportunities to have fun as a team. We’re even occasionally joined by my Bernese Mountain Dog, who proudly serves as our CDO (Chief Dog Officer)!
Giving back is an important part of our agency. We stay involved through community events and charitable initiatives, including a donation partnership with Special Olympics. We also enjoy including family members in many of our outings and activities, helping create a welcoming environment that extends beyond the office.

ROLE DESCRIPTION:
Dan Miller - State Farm Agent is a leading insurance agency dedicated to providing exceptional service to our customers. We are currently seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Receptionist - State Farm Agent Team Member.

RESPONSIBILITIES: - Greet customers warmly in person and over the phone, directing them to the appropriate team members.
- Manage appointment scheduling and office communications.
- Assist in handling incoming inquiries and maintaining customer records.
- Engage in conversations with prospective and existing customers, identifying opportunities to offer insurance options.
- Provide excellent customer service and follow up on customers needs.
- Support the team with various administrative tasks and projects.
QUALIFICATIONS: - Previous experience in a receptionist or customer service role.
- Communication and interpersonal skills.
- Organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Comfortable with engaging in sales conversations.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
