The Marathon Foundation has partnered with local families in these + 700 years old Ksours. Hundreds of homes will open doors to participants of all ages and nationalities.

These human experiences​ will allow you to spend some days tasting great local food, interacting with the community while they take good care of you while residing in the mud houses which constitute a real heritage for the Tafilalet Oasis.

An Oasis Racing Marathon in Morocco to Empower Nature

Tafilalet Oasis continues to struggle the shortage of water coming from the dry rivers of Ziz and Ghriss and the from the rare rainfall, therefore a considerable number of the local population migrated to big cities like Fez, Meknes, Rabat, Oujda, Tangier, and other major cities where they practice trading, craftsmanship, and building.

Filala population are aware of the hard situation their homeland is facing and are ready now more than ever to help to regreen the Oasis by replanting the Oasis. Such real engagement encouraged Moroccans from everywhere to join the campaign as a great noble example to empower both Nature and the locals.

During this Tafilalet Marathon Race in Morocco, participants are voluntarily invited to contribute to the area by volunteering in one of the domains they master and the projects local needs. Simultaneously​ to the race,​ local organizations will facilitate your adhesions to any of your choices​…
